Part's Of A Flower

Flower's Are One Of The Most Beautiful Creations, Of Nature. But Beyond Their Beauty, Flowers Also Play A Very Important Role In Plant Life, They Help Plant's Make Seeds And Grow New Plants.

To Understand How This Happens, We Need To Learn About The Different Part's Of A Flower And What Each Part Does.

Let's Explore The Main Part's Of A Flower:-

Stamen, Pistil, Petals, Sepals, Ovule, Receptacle And Pedicel.

(1.) Petals:- Petals Are The Most Visible Part Of A Flower. They Come In Different Colors, Shapes, And Sizes. The Main Job Of Petals Is To Attract Insects Like Bees, Butterflies, And Other Pollinators.

These Insect's Come To The Flower To Collect Nectar (A Sweet Liquid), And In Doing So, They Help Spread Pollen From One Flower To Another.

Petals Also Protect The Inner Part's Of The Flower When It Is Still A Bud.

(2.) Sepals:- Sepals Are A Small, Green Leaf-Like Parts Found At The Base Of The Flower. They Protect The Flower When It Is A Bud (Before It Blooms). Once The Flower Opens, Sepals May Stay At The Bottom, Holding And Supporting It.

(3.) Stamen:- The Stamen Is The Male Reproductive Part Of The Flower. It's Main Job Is To Make And Release Pollen, Which Is Needed To Fertilize The Female Part Of Another Flower.

The Stamen Has Two Part's:-

Anther:- Anther Is The Top Part That Holds And Produces Pollen. Pollen Looks Like Fine Yellow Dust.

Filament:- This Is The Thin Stalk That Holds Up The Anther. Together, The Anther And Filament Make Up The Stamen. The Stamen Is Usually Found In The Center Or Around The Pistil In The Flower.

(4.) Pistil:- The Pistil Is The Female Reproductive Part Of The Flower. It Is Usually Found In The Very Center Of The Flower. The Pistil Is Made Up Of Three Main Parts:-

A. Stigma:- Stigma Is The Sticky Top Part Of The Pistil Where Pollen Sticks, When It Lands.

B. Style:- Style Is A Tube-Like Structure That Connects The Stigma To The Ovary. It Allows Pollen To Travel Down To Reach The Ovary.

C. Ovary:- Ovary Is The Bottom Part Of The Pistil. It Contains Tiny Structures Called Ovules, Which Turn Into Seed's After Fertilization.

When Pollen From The Stamen Reaches The Pistil Of The Same Or Another Flower, It Travels Down The Style And Reache's The Ovary. There, It Fertilizes The Ovules And Helps In The Formation Of Seeds.

(5.) Ovule:- The Future Seed Inside The Ovary, There Are Ovules. These Are Like The Baby Seeds. When Pollen Reaches The Ovule And Fertilizes It, It Grows Into A Seed. This Is How Plants Reproduce And Make New Plants.

(6.) Receptacle:- A Receptacle Is The Thick Part At The Base Of The Flower. It Holds All The Floral Parts Together.

Pedicel:- This Is The Stalk That Supports The Flower And Connects It To The Plant.
