DIY Pressed Flower Bookmark Tutorial 

Material's You'll Need Are; 

(1.) Pressed Flowers And Leaves (Fresh Flowers Pressed For 1-2 Weeks) 

(2.) Cardstock, Watercolor, Paper, Or Recycled Paper (For Base) 

(3.) Clear Contact Paper, Laminating Sheets, Or Packing Tape (To Seal) 

(4.) Scissors 

(5.) Glue Stick Or Clear-Drying Craft Glue 

(6.) Hole Punch, This Can Be Optional 

(7.) Ribbon Or Twine (For Decoration) 

(8.) Tweezers (For Delicate Flower Placement)  

 Step By Step Instruction's 

Step 1 

  • Press Your Flowers (If Not Already Pressed) 
  • If You Don't Have Pressed Flowers Yet; Then You Can Place Flowers Or Leaves Between Two Pieces Of Paper Inside A Heavy Book. 
  • Weigh Down With More Books. Leave For 7-10 Day's Until Fully Dried And Flat.  

(Optional) 
You Can Also Use Small, Flat Flowers Like Pansies, Ferns, Daisies, Or lavender. 

Step 2 

  • Cut Your Bookmark Base 
  • Cut A Strip Of Cardstock Or A Thick Paper To Approx. 2''*6''. 
  • Choose A White Cream, Or Pastel Background For Best Flower Visibility. 
  • Decorate With Watercolor, Quotes, Or Calligraphy If You Like.  

Step 3 

  • Arrange And Glue The Flower's  
  • Lay Out Your Flowers Before Gluing To Plan The Design. 
  • Use Tweezers To Place Delicate Petals. 
  • Lightly Apply Glue On The Back Of Each Flower And Press Onto The Bookmark. 
  • You Can Also Add Inspirational Word's Like, "Breathe" "Bloom", Or A Favorite Quote. 

Step 4 

  • Seal The Bookmark 
  • Choose One sealing Method; 

(Option 1)

Clear Contact Paper 

Cut Two Slightly Larger Pieces Of Contact Paper.  

Sandwich The Bookmark Between Them. 

Smooth Out Air Bubbles And Trim Excess. 

(Option 2) 

Laminating Sheet  

Place Inside A Laminating Pouch And Run Through A Laminator Or Use Self-Stick Laminating Sheets. 

(Option 3)

Clear Packing Tape 

Carefully Cover Both Sides With Clear Tape. 

Then Trim The Edges Neatly With Scissors. 

Step 5 

  • Add Finishing Touches  
  • Use A Hole Punch At The Top. 
  • Add A Ribbon, Twine, Or A Tassel To Personalize It. 
  • Let Dry And Press Flat Under A Book For A Few Hours.
